Connect Umbrella Arms

With all the short and long arms attached it is time to connect them to each other.

1. The pair of tabs on the end of the short arm will align with the single tab on the long arm. This process works best with two people. One person first lifts one of the upper arms into place while a second person then lifts one of the short arms into place, aligning the pair of tabs at the end of the short arm with the single tab on the long arm.
2. With the tabs aligned, the person holding the short arm can insert the bolt through the holes on all three tabs. Thread the nut onto the bolt and hand-tighten it. Later in the install the nuts will be tightened with a wrench.
3. Repeat this process for each of the long arms.
