Hip Shade Structures

Hip Shade Structures

One of the most recognized and commonly used shade structures for playgrounds, parks, and large, outdoor seating areas is the hip shade structure. These large shade structures are so widely used for the following reasons:
  1. Hip structures are the most effective for covering large areas with a single application. Combining multiple hips gives you an even greater ability to span extremely large distances.
  2. They canopy is made from high quality HDPE tensile shade fabric. This means they are built strong and built to last. HDPE fabric provides a high percentage of UV protection, is breathable, and comes in a variety of colors. The UV protection is key in keeping playground equipment and stadium seating cool. You can learn more about our fabric on our shade fabric page.
  3. They are manufactured to withstand high winds and extreme weather without damage to the structure or canopy.
  4. They come with pole heights of 8', 10' or 12' and side lengths ranging from 20 to 40 feet.

Tenshon provides standard hip shade structures at some of the lowest prices available. The most common size configurations can be purchased ready to install upon delivery.
