Shade sails are by far our most popular product. They are tensile fabric membranes that use perimeter wire rope, height variation, and tensioning hardware at each corner to achieve an artistic, contemporary aesthetic. This look commands attention in a way that no other shade structure can, and allows breathability that can’t be found in more rigid structures. Shade sails can be purchased on their own and attached to existing anchor points like steel posts and sturdy wall mounts. We also offer standard and custom pole sizes for complete shade structure kits. For ease of install and seasonal removal, we offer pulley hardware for standard shade sails and custom shade sails of similar size.
You'll notice that our standard shade sails come in regular shapes with side lengths between 9 and 18 feet. The HDPE fabric we use, however, is very strong and can be made to span much larger distances. We offer stronger hardware with longer take to accommodate for these larger shade sails. We can also pattern and design shade sails with more corners and into many irregular shapes.
You should use a shade sail if you have space to install (or have already installed) a number of steel posts or similar attachment points, one for each corner. If you like the look of these extremely taut fabric membranes, be sure to check out our standard shade sails and structure kits, or contact one of our project managers for customization options.
Hip shade structures provide that classic house-like shape because there's a steel frame with a high ridge at the top. Hip shade structures are ideal for playground equipment at parks, outdoor seating areas, picnic tables, and schools. Hip shade structures come in many sizes, including square or rectangular dimensions and 8, 10, or 12-foot heights. For any other dimensions and heights, a customized hip shade structure can be ordered.
Hip structures are built with 6-inch (or larger) square steel columns and can be painted or powder coated. The HDPE fabric is tensioned with perimeter wire rope and strengthened with corrosion resistant 316 stainless steel to stand up to years of harsh conditions. Hip shade structures are a great-looking solution to a wide range of shaded areas.
Permanent shade umbrellas are poolside or patio umbrellas that won’t blow away in the first wind storm. You won’t have to worry about whether you remembered to take it down before the winds hit, because it is designed to remain open at all times. With strong arms and a concrete footing, permanent shade umbrellas are built to last.
