Shade Sail Products

Tenshon is a design build manufacturing company located in Mesa, Arizona. We specialize in the manufacturing and distribution of shade sails and shade structures. Our broad spectrum of products includes the design, engineering, and fabrication of shade sails, shade umbrellas, shade sail structures, shade canopies and custom shade structures. Our experience allows us to relevantly relate to a wide range of individuals on any size project.

We are extremely flexible in manufacturing these products and can provide as much or as little assistance toward the final product as needed. For you, our client, this means cost savings. We can perform all aspects of the process, including engineering stamped to your specific location, steel and shade sail fabrication, install support and shipping. However, you may opt to produce everything but the shade sails locally. We are fine with that. In fact, in most cases, we encourage it. Most of the time our clients, both residential and commercial, choose to source steel fabrication and installation themselves, utilizing the engineering, shade sails and hardware we have provided. Again, we are here to make your project a reality, in whatever way works best for you, not to get in your way.

Standard Shade Sails

We offer a wide variety of “standard” shade sail sizes in our online store. All of these sails are available in any of our 20 standard colors. Each sail is handcrafted using durable Tenara thread and reinforced with “seat-belt” style webbing at connection points and a perimeter cable pocket around the edge of the sail. Each corner is further reinforced with a stainless steel ring. A high-grade stainless steel turnbuckle is also available for each connection point along with stainless steel shackles or quick-links. The only thing “standard” about them is their sizing. Manufacturing time is typically around 2-3 weeks. However, we can manufacture your products in as little as 2-3 days for an expedited fee. Custom Shade Sails

Custom Shade Sails can also be produced at any time and in pretty much any size or shape. With custom shade sails, you first provide us with the area and/or size of sail that you are looking to have fabricated. Next, we diagram out your shade sail with the aid of our CAD program. On larger projects, this step may contain some back and forth, as we strive to make your vision come to life. We then further pattern the sail to fit the area requested. Since your shade sail is made from material that stretches, it must be reduced in size to account for that stretch and hardware. When debating between a custom shade sail and a standard shade sail it is always best to consult with us. While the quality, fabric used and construction method is the same with both, the standard shade sails are much more of a DIY product. If you are looking for an exact fit to your area, a custom shade sail is usually the better way to go. Shade Umbrellas

Our shade umbrellas are designed to compliment outdoor areas and offer low-profile alternatives to more traditional canopy options. We offer both traditional market umbrellas as well as custom HDPE shade umbrellas. The market umbrellas come pre-assembled, install quickly and are fabricated with high-quality materials to ensure sustainability. These umbrellas are a viable option for residential and/or commercial applications to solve the common needs of garden shade, patio shade or pool shade. Our custom shade umbrellas are available through the design build process described under Custom Shade Sails above.

Shade Sail Structures

Our signature shade products and custom shade solutions revolve around shade sail structures. These shade sail structures range in size from moderate to large applications. From providing pool shade, playground shade, and shade for vehicle parking, to providing shade in smaller areas like barbecues, seating areas, waiting areas, and walkways, shade sails are an excellent solution.

Shade Canopy

The shade canopy industry was built around the shade canopy. When the term shade sail is mentioned, most people stare blankly in response until you describe the shade canopy applications. Shade canopies are designed to work efficiently for scalable needs. These canopy structures are the preferred solution for car dealerships, schools, municipalities, government transportation, and “big box” retailers. Our shade canopy structures are fabricated using the same high-quality materials as are our shade sails, shade umbrellas, shade sail structures, and custom shade solutions. The most common example of a shade canopy structure is exhibited in playground shade solutions in parks and over playground equipment.

Custom Shade Structures

Our custom shade strutures are designed, engineered, and manufactured under the direction of Tenshon professionals and because fabrication is completed in-house we are able to control and deliver custom solutions on time and within budget. Occasionally, our clients are unable to find a shade sail or shade canopy solution in our product line. In this case we work closely with our client to design a custom product that specifically fits our clients shade sail or shade canopy needs. It is important for our clients to know that our involvement should be considered very early on in the planning and design stages of projects that require a custom solution and that we are interested in value engineering the portion of the project that we specialize in, outdoor shade.
